I generally shy away from political commentary on social media. However, today I’d like to say that the gerontocracy that’s been weighing down the US (for 50 years!) must be let go in the next two elections. Term limits must also be put in place.

Once I figure out how to post over 280 around here, the long posts will be coming. I’m so used to short form; It’s been a while since I stretched out. 📝

In years past, I’d be looking forward to see what’s in store at WWDC. But this year, I felt strangely apathetic. I’m not sure whether it’s because Apple has evolved into a beast that is diametrically opposed to slow tech or because I’m happy with the hardware I have (with hardware that’s modded and over a decade old). 🤯

I think I may just have to move all my plants upstairs and under grow lights for the winter. The sunshine is fleeting nowadays with earlier evenings and later mornings. 🌱

Kind of amazed to see a macOS VM run generally smoother than macOS on native hardware.

Yesterday during a particularlyslow part of the work day, I found Kiss Linux and was immediately transported back to the excitement I felt when I first discovered Gentoo almost 20 years ago. I think I’ll try it in a VM and see if it sticks.

I’m not much for tiling managers. But I see there may be packages available for a full DE, so that obstacle may already be solved.

More Bandcamp Friday tomorrow. I am rather pleased at the timing because my wishlist has grown far too big. 🎵

This week, I began masking (again) at work and have realized I probably shouldn’t have ever stopped. The COVID data coming in from local and regional hospitals is eye raising to say the least.

I am a tea drinker who has, on the past, tried cold brew coffee as a diversion.

I’ve always left unimpressed. Somewhat more awake but left wanting.

There seems to be a soothing, and yet also invigorating factor to hot coffee and so..

I tried again today. Tasty, cold coffee isn’t my thing. Hot tea, hot coffee, hot toddies, and the like are welcome anytime. ☕️

Today there was rain.

Lots of it.

It was gloomy, cool, wet and gloriously so. 🌧️
